I'm so sorry you had to experience a near attack by a lunatic coworker (of which there are far too many in the work world, if one is to believe friends who work elsewhere. What I want to know is--Who HIRES these people??)
Anyway shopgirlove, r u ok? I hope the HR climate, at least, was welcoming and supportive, and I hope your OTHER colleagues are as sensible and sane as you appear to be.

Anyway, I'm ok. I am grateful for your support and to anyone who bothers to come back to this blog. It was meant to be a light-hearted account of a shopgirl's life and has gotten rather heavy of late.
I am undone by your friendship.
As for who hired her--the department inherited her and she's the only person who knows our database. There's been a lot of training.
