Oh heck!

Shopgirlove had no intention of going anywhere near kristengate. But then the white men with microphones and keyboards started describing it as a "victimless crime." Oh really? That $5,500/hour wasn't his to spend. It was community property and Shopgirlove is pretty sure that Mrs. Spitz would not have chosen to spend it that way. College fund for the three daughters: YES! Extracurricular sexual escapades for the Mr.: NO! Geraldine Ferraro's gaffe has the white men with microphones and keyboards up in arms. (Funny, since they have little experience with being not white and not men.) And Obama is somehow his pastor's keeper. So, let's dive in...Que es mas malo? Race or gender? The real point here, is that women and non-white men far, far outnumber their light-complected, male fellow earthlings. Caucasians (male and female) account for only 10% of the earth's population. Yes, Shopgirlove said 10%. Women make up roughly 50%. (More are conceived, but fewer survive.) So, white men account for approximately 5% of the global demographic. Why does such a small group hold so much wealth and power? Shopgirlove has no idea. If the other 95% could just join hands and say "no mas," what would happen? Again, Shopgirlove has no idea. But she's willing to bet there would be some serious redistribution. In the meantime, there's a nice new political site that eschews division. A welcome addition and much-needed.
